Read Our Client Care Policy
Clear guidelines to ensure a safe, comfortable, and relaxing experience.
Session Timing & Appointment Policy
Your massage therapy appointment time is fully dedicated to you and includes a personalized consultation, assessment, hands-on massage treatment, and any post-session recommendations from your licensed massage therapist. A 55-minute massage session means you receive 55 minutes of one-on-one care, ensuring a complete and customized therapeutic experience. All massage sessions begin and end at the scheduled appointment time. Late arrivals will result in a shortened session to accommodate the schedule, and the full service fee will still apply. This policy allows us to provide consistent, high-quality massage therapy services to every client.
Health History & Intake Forms
All massage therapy clients are required to complete a health history and intake form and keep their information updated as needed to ensure safe and effective treatment. Intake forms are required for every client and are conveniently sent via email and text prior to the first massage appointment. If the intake form is not completed before arrival, clients will be asked to fill it out at the clinic. Time spent completing forms after the scheduled appointment start may reduce hands-on massage time, while the full service fee will still apply. This policy helps our licensed massage therapists deliver personalized, high-quality massage therapy care.
Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Show Policy
Massage therapy appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged 50% of the scheduled service fee.  No-shows, same-day cancellations, late cancellations, or requests to reduce service time at the time of the appointment will be charged 100% of the original scheduled service. Clients must notify the clinic by phone call, text message, or email to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Appointments missed without any notification will result in the full service fee being charged. Any outstanding balances must be paid in full before booking any future massage therapy appointments. This policy helps ensure availability and quality care for all clients.
Gratuity Policy
Our licensed massage therapists are dedicated professionals who provide personalized, therapeutic massage and wellness care during every session. While gratuities are never required, they are always appreciated and play an important role in supporting our therapists’ income.
How to Leave a Gratuity
Cash gratuities are always welcome. Gratuity can also be given at booking time, final checkout, or through Venmo or Zelle. We truly appreciate your support and kindness toward our massage therapy team.
Mobile Massage Appointments
For mobile massage sessions, if the client does not arrive within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, they will be charged for the full session.
Zero Tolerance for Harassment
Sexual harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. If the therapist feels unsafe or compromised, the session will be immediately terminated, and the full session price will be due.
Right to Refuse Service
Chicago Restorative Massage and Acupuncture reserves the right to refuse appointments or terminate treatment sessions for the following reasons: conditions or pathology are present for which massage is contraindicated, conditions or pathology outside of the therapist’s scope of work or skillset, improper or lewd conduct, sexualizing the session, intoxication, or for any other reasons that compromise the integrity and safety of the center, clients, and therapists/staff.
Informed Consent
The therapist will present client with a treatment plan so that client can make an informed decision about the session. Client has the right to terminate the session at any time and for any reason.
Note: Minors, under the age of 18, must have a parent/guardian present for duration of session.
No Substitute for Medical Care
Massage therapy has emerged as a healthcare modality in recent years. Several studies have shown massage therapy to produce therapeutic effects for stress reduction, pain relief, and many ailments. That being said, massage therapy is not a substitute for medical treatment.
